Ellen Leon Rosoff, MA, BCC

With over 20 years of experience working as a school counselor and educator, Ellen Leon Rosoff brings a skill set to the Life Coaching partnership that is steeped in experience with adolescents and young adults. In addition, Ellen has much to offer the coaching partnership with those at midlife and beyond. Understanding how coaching can change the brain, her approach to coaching is rooted in the conversation of brain science and neuroplasticity with complimentary support from the Cognitive-Behavioral, Client-Centered and Solution-Focused theories. Ellen is also a holder of a Level 2 EFT (tapping) certificate. She addresses issues of underachievement, motivation, fulfillment, career transitions, stress and anxiety, body image at young adulthood and midlife, wellness, parenting, goal setting, organization, and career/college readiness and more. Ellen has a wealth of experience as a board certified  life coach, school counselor, speaker, teacher, and to add to her tool box, she is a work in progress herself with many experiences along the way as a single working parent, midlife woman, friend, dog lover, goal setter extraordinaire, helper, and 'helpee'.   Since 2015, Ellen received her certificate from UC Berkeley for her completion of the course called The Science of Happiness. She's also continued her coach education with a course in ethics, grief, intuition and heart-centered living.

As a Life Coach, Ellen believes that the partnership between the coach and client is a creative and collaborative relationship. She also believes that people who seek her out are whole and resourceful and capable of making changes in their lives, even if they, themselves don't quite see that yet.

Ellen has been certified as a Board Certified Coach by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE). She has been certified as a School Counselor by the State of Connecticut since 1986 and continues to be re-certified every 5 years. She also has been certified by the National Council for Community Behavioral Health Care as a Mental Health First Aider.
